Getting here

The entrance to the museum on Ffordd Gwynedd, Bangor, LL571DT.

want to embed a google map here or a map we have from our exhibitions programme

Detailed route planning for getting to the museum can be found through Traveline Cymru and for dedicated train information through National Rail.

By train
The Bangor train station, postcode LL57 1LZ is located on Holyhead Road and is a ten minute walk from the museum. From the station, take Deiniol Road and then turn right onto Ffordd Gwynedd.

By bus
Most buses stop in Bangor (Town clock stop) which is located approximately 100m from the museum entrance on Ffordd Gwynedd.

By car
We do not have a dedicated carpark for visitors. However, there is the Deiniol Shopping Centre multistorey car park located opposite our entrance. There is also a paying car park Ffordd Gwynedd located between the museum and the library.

There are a few disabled car spaces located opposite the main entrance, near the Bangor Cathedral.

By Bicycle
There are many ways of reaching us by bicycle – the Visit Snowdonia website outlines the main routes within Gwynedd including downloadable maps of the routes. To search other routes, you can search Sustrans website or Routes2ride website.

The museum does not currently have dedicated bike stands but we do intend to in the near future.
